MUFG Union Bank Lead Business Systems Analyst in Walnut Creek, California
Duties : Working as a member of the Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO), Enterprise Data Quality Team, responsible for enabling the efficient and actionable use of data by developing and implementing enterprise data controls across systems within the Bank with a focus on Risk and Regulatory Reporting under the Data Management Integrated Control Framework. Acting as lead for systems development lifecycle projects working with a broad range of teams and roles across the organization including teams such as Office of the Chief Data Officer, Americas Risk Management, and Regulatory Reporting as well as roles such as project business sponsors, business and technical Subject Matter Expert resources within multiple MUFG entities, project manager, project leads, and IT. Communicating with business users and evaluating business requirements to understand project objectives and scope. Documenting data lineage across system environments with 100 systems including transformations. Performing data analysis including data extraction with standard SQL Tools. Writing and executing queries to profile large data sets (100,000 records). Capturing business and data requirements with system development lifecycle across business and technology. Defining data quality rules across dimensions that data must conform to. Ensuring design produced meets requirements as documented. Planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Working with data domains within banking including Deposits, Commercial Loans, Residential Loans, Trade Finance, Equities, Derivatives, Forex, Fixed Income, Swaps, Risk Management, Finance and Accounting.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree).
Experience: 5 years of related Enterprise Data Management experience within the Financial Services or Banking industry performing data analysis including data extraction with SQL Tools; writing and executing queries to profile large data sets (100,000 records); defining data quality rules across 4 to 6 dimensions that data must conform to; documenting data lineage across system environments with 100 systems including transformations; and 3 years of experience must include capturing business and data requirements across business and technology; ensuring design meets requirements; and executing UAT; and 1 year of experience must include acting as lead for systems development lifecycle projects; and working with at least 3 of the following data domains within banking [Deposits, Commercial Loans, Residential Loans, Trade Finance, Equities, Derivatives, Forex, Fixed Income, Swaps, Risk Management, Finance and Accounting].
Other: Required to work nights & weekends & be on-call during non-business hours, when needed based on business criticality, for project deliverables and production support.
